Consteia Noemae

Consteia Noemae is a writing platform with the thinking of Consteia at its heart. Noemae derives from the primal space for the content of a thought. For everyone who wants to make our world a more beautiful place.

Writing is an act of patience. Stories grow slowly, chapter by chapter, revision after revision, and the environment you write in deserves the same careful design as the work itself. Consteia Noemae is built for writers who need more than a page: for novels, manuscripts, short story collections, series, and anything that asks for a deliberate structure to come into its own.

Everything is online, secured, and available whenever you are ready to write.

Your story in one place

A book is more than text. It is an architecture of chapters, parts, perspectives and layers. The platform organises your work into projects, with a structure of categories and subcategories you can nest as deeply as your story asks. Every piece of text, a scene, a chapter, an interlude, lives as an article within that whole.

Overview and navigation

The dashboard shows at a glance the status of your articles, what was published recently, and where you left off. A filter bar along the side makes switching between categories quick, including in large projects.

Writing without interruption

The editor is built on the principle that nothing should stand between you and your words. While you write, the system saves automatically in the background, without blinking icons or interruptions. A smart lock also makes sure that while you have an article open, nobody else is working in it at the same time. No conflicting versions, no lost changes.

Editorial layers beside the text

Editors and readers can comment on specific passages, visible right in the editor as a sidebar. Suggested changes appear as separate notes you can accept or pass over. That way the text itself stays clean, while the editorial conversation lives alongside it.

Language care and correction

The platform offers built-in spell checking for Dutch. Other languages can be added, so you can also look after multilingual projects or work in other languages. Do your characters carry names no dictionary knows? You add them once to a personal dictionary, after which they are never marked as errors again.

Keeping, comparing and restoring versions

Every time you save, the system records a version. By default the platform keeps five versions back; that number can be raised on request. So you always have a safety net, even when a round of revision turns out to have been the wrong direction.

Versions side by side

The comparison view shows exactly what changed between two versions: which sentences were added, which disappeared, what was rewritten. Restoring an earlier version is one click, with a confirmation question so that nothing is overwritten by accident.

Importing and exporting your work

Importing

You do not have to retype existing work. The platform supports import from JSON (for complete project structures including categories and all articles) and from Markdown, handy if you have been working in a word processor or are leaving another writing environment. The import wizard first shows a preview of what will be loaded, so you keep control before anything changes.

Exporting

Ready to share your work or continue elsewhere? You export a project as JSON, Markdown ZIP, DOCX, ODT or PDF. Each format has its own use: JSON as a complete backup or to move to another system, DOCX for a publisher or editor working in Word, PDF for a readable final version.

Search and replace across the whole project

Search and replace works on two levels: within a single article, and across the whole project at once. At project level the platform supports regular expressions (regex), so that complex patterns, think of variants of a name or a particular sentence structure, can be searched and replaced in one pass. An undo function stands ready in case the result turns out differently than expected.
